Oh right, the radish

February 24, 2010

I forgot that the reason I wanted to put a more up-to-date blog entry was because the comments section of my friend Jon Watts’ blog asked for a website, and here it is.

I haven’t blogged here for months and months! I have started one at posterous, which is more directly connected to dance and education, and sometimes just education, because of my work with Neighbourhood Diaries (in picture #6 I know I look like I’m about to cry, but it’s probably just because I was a bit tired). I have since moved into a lovely apartment downtown with the oldest tree in Toronto in my backyard.

A friend sent me to the work of Madame Yevonde (portrait of Ceres below) because it is she who said, “be original or die.” I happened also to be researching Greek and Roman gods (about whom I know little) in preparation for working with a constellation-inspired grade 4 student. So it was a happy coincidence.
